Extractions
Teeth that need extractions are compromising the patient’s health. Extractions are when the dentist takes out teeth that are badly decayed and can’t be saved. If the patient can’t afford a root canal and crown on the tooth it can be taken out. The patient is usually placed on an antibiotic for 5-7 days. It could be a simple extraction that does not need sutures. A surgical extraction is when the doctor opens up the buccal side of the tooth, removes part of the buccal bone, and removes the tooth. Places sutures in the wound and has you back to remove the stiches.
